Our fees are based on us applying for the Grant and collecting and distributing the assets. Our hourly charges range from £150 to £201 per hour, depending on the experience of the file handler. Total costs reflect the time we expect the estate to take, which can vary with individual circumstances.
The charges below apply where there is a valid Will, no more than one property, up to three bank accounts, between one and four beneficiaries, no disputes, no inheritance tax payable and no claims against the estate.

FAQs

Your questions answered

A Will makes sure your estate passes to the people you choose, can reduce inheritance tax and avoids the uncertainty of the intestacy rules. Without one, the law decides who inherits, which may not reflect your wishes.
Probate is the legal process of dealing with the estate of someone who has died. It usually involves obtaining a Grant of Probate, collecting in the assets, paying any debts and tax, and distributing what remains to the beneficiaries.
Obtaining a Grant of Probate usually takes around three months. Administering an estate from start to finish typically takes between six and twelve months, depending on the complexity of the estate and the assets involved.
A Lasting Power of Attorney lets you appoint people you trust to make decisions about your finances or your health and welfare if you are ever unable to make them yourself.
